Alright, listen up cadets. My name is Captain Azshes and I'm in charge of this outfit, and while we may not be the most law abiding of citizens, we do have rules that we are required to play by.
#1 - Don't be an asshole.
Be respectful to other players and especially other members of the S.B.I. I don't care if you swear on the forums or around the company, but don't use threatening, abusive, defamatory, hateful, racially or ethnically offensive language. Don't spam the chats or the forums. Don't make fun of other players for being new and trying to learn. Absolutely NO cheating, hacking or DDOSing. Follow the same rules Muse has laid out on their site. Bottom line, Don't be an asshole.
#2 - Follow orders.
Captain's orders are orders. If a superior officer on a ship asks you to do something, you do it. It is fine to argue a point or give your input but at the end of the day, you are on the captain's ship, you do what he or she says. If they are wrong and it leads to a loss, if they aren't respectful of their crew, or if they refuse to learn from their mistakes then don't run with them in the future. Also, this goes along with rule #1, if a captain is abusing his authority, report it to an officer of the company.
#3 - Perform to the best of your ability. Always.
Do your best. I'm well aware that Guns of Icarus Online is a "game" but people's time is NOT a game. You want to waste time, do it on your own. When you are part of a crew, part of a team, do your best to not let your team down. Being a greenhorn (or a newb as these interweb kids are calling them) is fine, everyone was at one point. But not taking advice or learning from senior officers or members who are trying to help you become a better player is not okay. If you think you can't get any better, think again.
Not a lot of rules but they are important. Follow them and we won't have any issues. If you decide that you think you know better or you fail to perform in the line of duty, we will not hesitate to discipline accordingly.
